Flexible Copper Busbar is a flexible BUSBAR (cumulatively energized thin copper plate) for power transmission. Compared with traditional hard copper busbars, flexible copper busbars have higher flexibility and can be bent, twisted and folded in various ways according to the needs of the internal structure of the battery pack, thereby optimizing the layout. This flexibility not only improves the utilization rate of the internal space of the battery pack, but also reduces the difficulty and cost of assembly.
In terms of material, Flexible Copper Busbar is usually composed of multiple layers of highly flexible thin copper sheet conductors, with an outer layer covered with an insulating layer. These thin copper sheets are superimposed and pressed at both ends by advanced molecular diffusion welding technology to ensure good conductivity and mechanical strength. The surface treatment of the copper sheet (such as bare copper, tin plating, nickel plating, silver plating) can be selected according to the specific application requirements to meet different conductivity and corrosion resistance requirements.
In terms of insulation layer, Flexible Copper Busbar also performs well. In order to ensure the insulation performance of the product, TPE (thermoplastic elastomer) or other high-temperature resistant insulation materials are usually used as sheaths. In the case of fire resistance, insulation tape (Mica Tape) containing soft mica can also be used as an additional protective layer. The selection and application of these insulating materials enable Flexible Copper Busbar to maintain stable performance in various harsh use environments.
In addition to the advantages of material and structure, Flexible Copper Busbar also has excellent conductivity and lightweight characteristics. Due to the design of multi-layer thin copper sheets, Flexible Copper Busbar can achieve lighter weight and smaller space occupancy while ensuring sufficient conductive area.
